Team Tournament Guidelines - New for 2020

 Team Tournament Participation Guidelines


1.            Meet all 4-H enrollment and paperwork deadlines requirements.

                              Including but not limited to

                               -Equine registered on 4-H on-line by deadline.

                              - Member and Parent must sign behavior/expectation form if acceptance to the team

 

2.            Equine must be enrolled and show at the County Fair.

 

3.         All costs associated with attending, including, but not limited to, food, hotel, gear, transportation, stall fee, etc. 

4.         Any special clothing requirements for grand entry parade – All team members must look uniform and comply with              the requests to create uniformity (hair, clothing, tack, etc.) as decided on by Team Tournament chairperson.  

5.         5.        To be present at Noble County Fairgrounds from 7AM until the show awards are presented. 

 

6.         Transportation of self and equine to show.

 

7.         An adult must be present at Team Tournament and responsible for the 4-Her and      equine.

 

8.         Volunteering for a minimum of 4 hours at the County Show or other 4H H&P event as coordinated with your leader.  At least 2 of the 4 hours must be completed by a parent/adult representative (19 years or older).  Your township leader MUST sign off on your volunteer time.  This time is in ADDITION to any township requirements.  Please plan accordingly.  NO exceptions

9.            Any 4H member, who meets all of the above requirements, must respond to the       Chairperson of Team Tournament their intentions to participate within 24 hours of notification of their eligibility from the Chairperson. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit of  the qualified position. 

 

10.       Any monies due for participation in Team Tournament are due within 24 hours of acceptance to the Team Tournament Chairperson.  Failure to do so will result in a forfeit of the qualified position. 

11.       Follow all rules set forth by Noble County Fairgrounds and committee.                                                         

Pleasure Team Participants

*Qualifications for Team Tournament are done by a high point system for Pleasure participants from qualifying shows in 4H classes only will not include open classes.

In cases where open positions are available:

-First consideration will be given to 10 year and last year pleasure applicants.

- Second consideration will be given to pleasure applicants that have qualified the previous year in open position.

-Third consideration will be given to the pleasure applicants that have competed in the open position at previous shows and fair.

-Fourth consideration will be given to remaining pleasure applicants and will be sorted by age and years in 4-H; senior 4-H members will be offered the open position first after all senior applicants are exhausted, intermediate 4-H members will be offered the open position second after all intermediate applicants are exhausted, junior    4-H members will be offered the open position third.

-If open positions are still available the pleasure position will be appointed to an applicant as determined by the Team Tournament chairperson.

-In the case of a tie above criteria will be used to break the tie.

Contesting Team Participants

*Qualifications for Team Tournament are done by an average of the best 2 times in each event for Contesting participants from qualifying shows in 4H classes only will not include open. Must show in the event at 2 of the 3 qualifying team tournament shows. If you show at 3 shows the slowest time will be dropped.

In cases where open positions are available:

-First consideration will be given to 10 year and last year contesting applicants.

- Second consideration will be given to contesting applicants that have qualified the previous year in open position. 

-Third consideration will be given to the contesting applicants that have competed in the open position at previous shows and fair.

-Fourth consideration will be given to remaining contesting applicants and will be sorted by age and years in   4-H; senior 4-H members will be offered the open position first after all senior applicants are exhausted, intermediate 4-H members will be offered the open position second after all intermediate applicants are exhausted, junior 4-H members will be offered the open position third.

-If open positions are still available the contesting position will be appointed to an applicant as determined by the Team Tournament chairperson.

The 2020 Pleasure qualifying shows are Reins of Life & The County Pleasure Show

The 2020 Contesting qualifying shows are Reins of Life, Union Township & The County Contesting Show
